Some of her most iconic songs (If You Had My Love, I’m Real Remix, & Get Right [the only ones really worthy of the award]) were all taken from other artist in a way so I don’t think it’s fair that she gets awarded. And on Top of Gaga having a Top 5 of the Hot 100 in The Fame, The Fame Monster, ARTPOP and Joanne eras, Beyonce has had one Top 5 inbetween 3 eras/albums. That’s pathetic. 12 tracks that chart due to streaming and none of them peak higher than #10? AND the track to even have some success the week after comes in at #11? [and let’s not act like being a featured vocalist on an Ed Sheeran remix and getting a #1 from it is really worth bragging about.]

THAT ASIDE, I’m ending this now with this simple thought; just because someone is inspired by those singers [yes, I’m perfectly aware that Whitney was Gaga’s main vocal inspiration and that Telephone happened] doesn’t mean she hasn’t surpassed them with talent alone.

If YOU want to act like poptimism and empty platitudes about striving for racial justice in America is the way to grade pop divas, you go right ahead because you’re dismissed.

Beyoncé has literally said multiple times that she’s in the business of creating and selling albums not singles so all of this is moot. Let’s look at them Joanne units numbers tho v. Lemonade.
