You gotta understand that some people never really grow. They never learn their lesson. They never recognise their mistakes, they never acknowledge their faults, they never admit they were in the wrong. You will never receive an apology from them, and you will never see their behaviour change.

i’m just gonna say this once, but it ain’t just men. looking at this post, the whole time i was thinking about my mom, who has yet to change or apologise for the way i was treated as a kid and the way i continued to be treated as an adult. abusers and generally shitty people come in all genders my dude.
