There is no deep meaning into the retraumatization of Black people through racialized violent imagery in media especially media from other Black people. as a Black person you know what that shit feels like it’s and how paralyzing and hurtful that is it is crass it’s cruel and it’s fucking trite. there is no symbolism there is no deep meaning there is no mystical answer to be found stop trying to make exploitation more than what it is. exploitation of Black pain and Black death is still exploitation even if it is portrayed or enacted by another Black person. it is even more senseless in my personal opinion because you as a Black person know exactly where that pain come from and exactly how that pain feels and to objectify that for-profit is heinous, reckless, sensationalist nonsense.

Oh and let’s be clear white people don’t care about this art past the surface. this is not the type of things that follow them home these are not the type of thoughts that they have every day when they go outside when their loved one goes outside when they get stopped by a police officer when a strange white person comes into their space. they don’t have these thoughts of their own death and what that might look like. they don’t care about this art past quick oh my God that’s so horrible. so the argument of putting it in white people’s faces falls apart and is a farce. Black Death has been in white people’s faces for centuries and they’re still ambivalent towards it and they still commit crimes against the Black body. they don’t give a fuck you might find a white liberal maybe a handful that will feign caring and will feign concern. However when they go home at night they are not worried about your Black ass or your life or your death and sensationalistic exploitative art is not going to make them care anymore then someone hanging from a tree did years ago or someone being murdered by the state now, trust and believe that.
